Swine Flu

Alert: Important information about swine flu

National Pandemic Flu Service

The National Pandemic Flu Service was launched by the NHS on the 23/07/09, to deal with the growing swine flu pandemic.

This service is only intended for those who are ill with swine flu, and should be used instead of calling into the Surgery

To access the new service, people should first visit the National Pandemic Flu Service website at www.direct.gov.uk/pandemicflu.  This website will be available 24 hours a day and is designed to identify the symptoms of swine flu and to provide authorisation to access antivirals.  Two telephone lines are also available, and will be open from 8am – midnight.  People should call 0800 1 513 513 for information and 0800 1 513 100 for treatment.  A textphone number is available on 0800 1 513 200. Only people with symptoms of swine flu should use the National Pandemic Flu Service.

Text Reminders

All of our patients should have had texts sent to their mobile phones reminding them of their appointment the next day.
If you have not recieved such a text and would like to, please ensure the surgery has your correct mobile number.
Also, if you have recieved such text messages, but would like to stop the service, please ring the surgery.
